Welcome Michael

Welcome our newest member to the NL-ix family – Michael Duke

Originally from South Africa, Michael embarked on a life-changing journey and arrived in the Netherlands with his lovely wife, Justine, and their two sons, Joshua (9) and Connor (6), in May 2022. They now call the picturesque village of Huizen their home, where they spend their time exploring the beauty of the Netherlands.

Michael started his career in Sound Engineering but quickly discovered a passion for IT. His journey in the world of technology began by fixing computers at a local store, and over the years, he has honed his skills across various facets of IT. With a profound interest in software development, he has fallen in love with Python and Linux.

Beyond the realms of technology, Michael finds joy in playing the guitar and indulging in his love for sports – be it rugby, NFL, or motorsport. However, above all, he cherishes the role of being a father.

On asking what prompted Michael to join NL-ix, he replied “I joined NL-ix as this is a great environment for me to learn and grow my career further, I had an excellent interaction with the team during my interview process too”
